GellieBeans Buttercream Frosting Swatches + Review

Hi guys,
How have you all been? I'm still figuring out how to juggle work and hobbies at the moment as this whole "full time job" thing is still new to me! Anyhow, today I have another gel polish to show you and this a nice neutral shade totally appropriate for a conservative work environment!

I've raved about GellieBeans on pretty much every post I've written about the brand. I love their little gel polishes. the brush is perfect for getting a nice smooth line around the cuticle and it's small enough for the pinky nail. The formulas are awesome at self levelling, they're opaque and very smooth to use. I cure GellieBeans colours in my Gelish Pro 45 LED lamp using the 45 second timer and I haven't had any issues with a single colour! My colour count is up to 13 now, but there are quite a few that I've only used on my toes.I buy my GellieBeans polishes from Ozsale at $7 a bottle. If you're interested in picking up a few shades for yourself you'll probably have to wait for a GellieBeans sale to come around which is about every 3 months.

You may have noticed that I've changed my nail shape again. It was a spur of the moment decision. Last night i was planning to neaten up the free edge when I started filing the corners away and this almond shape appeared! My nails are feeling quite strong at the moment so I thought I'd try out the almond look even with work being a bit taxing on my hands. we'll see how it goes!

Buttercream Frosting is a beige vanilla cream colour very similar to Gelish Need a Tan. Buttercream Frosting is lighter though and reminiscent of OPI's My vampire is Buff. It's quite a light shade and stands out more against my skin tone than Need a Tan does. Do I need them both? No, but with the lack of GellieBeans swatches it's sometimes hard to know what you're getting. I thought this might have some shimmer in it because of the name but it doesn't, it's a straight up crème shade. I may end up frankening with it and adding some shimmer to it.

Buttercream frosting applied beautifully, like every other shade I've tried from GellieBeans. What you see in the photos is 3 thin coats with Gelish Top It Off to seal it all in. I'm getting a lot better with colour being very close to the cuticle but not touching (The pictures I generally show on my blog are of my left (dominant) hand which has the worser paint job, but my right hand just doesn't pose well). It also helps that I've figured out how to do cuticle work that I'm happy with. Needless to say, I'm quite chuffed with this paint job.

I'm not sure if I've said this in previous posts but as a rule GellieBeans is quite easy to remove for me. I do use Gelish Vitagel as my base which is known for its easy removal but the GellieBeans colours certainly don't make it more difficult. Due to my roster I'm changing my soak off gel colour up every 8 to 10 days, which is a bit shorter than most people. the grow out drives me nuts by the end of it though so I don't mind doing it more frequently.

Have you jumped onto the Soak Off Gel bandwagon yet? What do you think of GellieBeans polishes?
